Eurocement unit says production improved by 90%, while sales soared to 85%
{regUlyanovskcement part of the EUROCEMENT Group announced higher production and sales figures for the first two months of the new fiscal, reported KP.
According to the statistics, production for the two months totaled 114 thousand tons, 90% up from 54 thousand tons produced during the two months in 2010. February output increased to 69 thousand tons, 102% up from 35 thousand tons produced in February 2010.
Cement sales upped by 85%, 51 thousand tons higher from Jan-Feb sales in 2010 to 112 thousand tons for the period in 2011, while February sales notched up 83% growth to 68 thousand tons.
Clinker production for the two months increased by 37% to 170 thousand tons, while sales in February were pegged as 15 thousand tons.{/reg}
