Company to build EUR 16.45 million cement factory for Albania's Spacelift Cement Group. Premium Content

Holcim's new terminal at Los Barrios is now fully operational after successfully pass the test period and the first shots that began last October, as reported by the company in a statement.

La instalación, destinada a recibir y almacenar cargas de cemento, dispone de un silo con seis cámaras con espacio para 18.000 toneladas de cemento, así como de una mezcladora con una capacidad de producción de 150 toneladas/hora.

The facility, designed to receive and store loads of cement, has a silo with six cameras with room for 18,000 tons of cement and a mixer with a production capacity of 150 tons / hour.

La compañía ha indicado que tras dos meses de pruebas y varias descargas, la primera de las cuales se realizó con éxito el pasado 18 de noviembre, la terminal ha entrado hoy oficialmente en funcionamiento.

The company said that after two months of testing and downloads, the first of which was successful on 18 November, the terminal has entered officially in operation today.

Una vez terminada la fase de pruebas, Holcim ha trasladado sus operaciones del muelle de Isla Verde en Algeciras a las instalaciones de Los Barrios.

Once the testing phase, Holcim has moved its operations from Green Island dock in Algeciras on the premises of Los Barrios.

La terminal está dotada de un sistema neumático que permite almacenar y suministrar el producto sin manipulación intermedia, lo cual, según la empresa, garantiza que el proceso se realiza de forma segura y sin emisiones a la atmósfera.

The terminal is equipped with a pneumatic system which can store and supply the product without intermediate, which, according to the company, guarantees that the process is done safely and without emissions to the atmosphere.

La compañía ha señalado que de este modo amplía la gama de productos disponibles a través de una instalación "más moderna y eficiente" desde la que dar servicio al área Andalucía Occidental.

The company said that in this way extends the range of products available through a facility "more modern and efficient" from which to service the Western Andalusia area.

Las instalaciones pertenecen a Holcin España, que se dedica a la producción y distribución de cemento, árido, hormigón y mortero.actúa en ocho comunidades autónomas, tiene una plantilla de 1.500 trabajadores.

Holcin facilities belonging to Spain, dedicated to the production and distribution of cement, aggregate, concrete and mortero.actúa in eight different provinces, employs 1,500 workers.
